No one knows how the trailer for Project Copernicus, the fantasy MMO that was being developed by Curt Schilling's now-defunct 38 Studios, got leaked. Of course we can all make our own assumptions, since this isn't the first asset from the cancelled game to have come out.
All that unpleasantness aside, the trailer gives us a few more details into what the game could have entailed. Billed as Kingdoms of Amalur, the content reveals some pretty standard fantasy tropes: and ogre, elf, dwarf and human, all brandishing weapons or conjuring magic. Naturally, there's a narrator with lots of gravitas introducing us to the World of Warcraft-esque universe.
But it might be unfair to label this as a generic clone. This game would have presumably been built upon Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It's interesting if not fairly depressing to think about what could have been.
