The Microsoft Xbox One console has been doing well in the market and fans have been rejoicing the work Microsoft has been putting towards the ever growing catalog of backward compatible Xbox 360 video game titles. Recently, Xbox boss, Phil Spencer, has revealed his interest in bringing over the original Xbox titles on the Xbox One as well.
Backward compatibility has been a hot topic for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when it first released into the market. While Sony has offered their own version of backward compatibility through means of their service PlayStation Now, Microsoft has taken the route to once again bring as many Xbox 360 video game titles for download on the Xbox One.
It wasn’t very long ago that one fan asked Phil Spencer on the progress of bringing over Call of Duty: Black Ops II on the Xbox One. Phil responded by stating that he would love to see all of the previously released Xbox 360 video game titles on the Xbox One, but it would require approval from the various publishers, which was the case of Call of Duty: Black Ops II not being available on Xbox One.
Another fan recently took to Twitter in hopes to ask Phil Spencer if there was any chance to see original Xbox video game titles on the Xbox One.
@James1o1o We haven’t ruled it out but we aren’t working on it right now. I’d like to find the time to do it.

Phil Spencer replied stating that while there is no word at the current moment to bring backward compatibility for the original Xbox, he would like to make time for this in the future. This could mean plenty of more video game titles will be added towards Microsoft’s Xbox One backward compatibility program, but that would certainly be a tough feat as there are still Xbox 360 video game titles that are currently unavailable.
Regardless, there seems to be some hope that we’ll once again enjoy some of the classic titles that only released on the original Xbox. With that said, what video game titles would you like to see on the Xbox One that originally came out for the Xbox? Let us know by leaving a comment down below.
