The makers of Escape from Tarkov have just disclosed thaet they have entered into a partnership with Russian gun manufacturer Concern Kalashnikov, which produces some of the world’s most well-known firearms, like the AK-47 and the new AK-12.
The game’s lead animator Alexander Kovalchuk visits a Concern Kalashnikov factory in his latest developer video diary, to showcase the attention to detail that the animators and modelers in his team are giving to the firearms in the game.
In creating Escape from Tarkov, a realistic hardcore massively multiplayer online game, the developers intend to pour their efforts into paying attention to all of the numerous aspects of the project, with special interest to sound effects. For the purpose of recreating the weapon fire sound effects, the studio developers traveled to the training grounds of Concern Kalashnikov, where the company representatives were prepared with the live prototype weapons from the Escape from Tarkov arsenal.

Beta testing for the game is expected to begin before the end of 2016.
