In an official Sony blog post, Seth Killian informed the world about his new job as a lead game designer for Sony Santa Monica. The external group is responsible for working with outside teams like thatgamecompany, Fun Bits Interactive, and Queasy Games. Killian's new role puts him in the thick of SuperBot Entertainment's title, the one that just rolls right off your tongue, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
When Killian departed from Capcom, a large hole was left in the fighting-game community, but his input with All-Stars can definitely fill that gap. Killian explained that he isn't the first EVO finalist to take part in the creation of Sony's new fighting franchise, and believes that it will give All-Stars a significant edge.
From the blog post: "All-Stars is also a total love-letter to Sony fans. From the characters, to their special moves, to the incredible level 3 supers, and the stages themselves, I’m not sure there’s ever been such a giant dose of fan-service in Sony history. Beyond great character designs or all the ingenious little ideas that make combat feel great, the real test of a great game to me is that 'just *one* more game!' feeling."
Killian is taking All-Stars to EVO this weekend to showcase the fighter to its core audience.
