While Resident Evil 5 brought us the Majini, with Resident Evil 6, Capcom is showing a whole new level of terror with the J'avo. The term, derived from the word "davo: which is the Croatian/Serbian term for devil, is now the new "zombie" plague that Leon Kennedy and Co. must take out in order to survive.
Well, if what we see is anything to go by, it seems that's going to be a bit harder this time as the J'avo can now mutate once one of their limbs have been cut. Not only that, but just like the Plagas in previous RE games, the J'avos can coordinate attacks and now, they can even carry weapons!
Of course, we shouldn't expect military tactics or Delta Force-like flanking maneuvers here, but imagine a deranged, fearless enemy that attacks without abandon. And add in that weapon equation and you have a whole new level of evil to tackle.
Aside from them being able to carry weapons, the J'avos can also mutate their limbs but it depends on which part of their body is cut. One good example would be is if an enemy's arms are cut, and he sprouts wings, then that enemy would have the ability to fly.
Hopefully, Capcom releases more details so we can know more about our enemies before we face them come October 2.
Which Resident Evil enemy are you most afraid of? Does the J'avo being able to carry weapons add a sense of dread or does it seem more "human" to you?
