Beenox has released a new developer diary for The Amazing Spider-Man and we get to see Spidey swing his way through Manhattan again.
Of course, Spider-Man hasn't had the best luck when it comes to games in recent years, but this one shows a ton of promise.
The game's executive producer, Brent Nicholas, talks about how game's navigation has been revamped from the ground up. We also get to see Spider-Man use his Oscorp mobile phone to check up on police bandwidth for on-going crimes within the city.
Also of note, the game's combat also looks to have been given a major facelift. It might just be me, but it really does remind me of another comic-book game, but one that has bats in it instead of spiders.
The video ends by showing the Web Rush game mechanic and how it's incorporated into the game's side missions. That scene with the car being webbed did look good, but here's to hoping it won't get repetitive when we do it for the eight or ninth time.
The Amazing Spider-Man is scheduled to be out on June 26 for the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and 3DS — though don't expect the Wii and 3DS versions to look as good as the video.
