It’s been over a decade since World of Warcraft entered the lives of the online gaming community, and it’s been absorbing hundreds of hours of playtime ever since. Five expansion packs later, the World of Warcraft universe changes once more with the release of their sixth expansion World of Warcraft: Legion.
Azeroth has to stop Gul’dan and his army of demons from destroying the balance and order of the world.
“We’re excited to return to one of Warcraft’s core conflicts—the ongoing war against the Burning Legion—and send players on their most epic adventure yet ,” said Mike Morhaime. “We’ve filled Legion with features and content that give players whole new ways to experience World of Warcraft, including a brand-new hero class, awesome Artifact weapons that unlock a new progression path, and more freedom to explore than ever before. We can’t wait for players to see everything in store in this expansion.”
What exactly is Mike talking about? Well let me fill you in on what’s in store for this expansion. The headliner of this expansion is the Demon Hunter Hero Class, and these powerful fighters are sure to change the way the game is played for many people. Along that same theme, the addition of artifact weapons which grow in power the more you use them is guaranteed to add an extra edge to players in battle. You won’t only be fighting in the same old places, either. The Broken Isles is a new continent added to World of Warcraft, and gamers will be diving head first into these zones and becoming a part of the chaos that’s unfolding. You don’t have to waste any time leveling up either, as a level 100 character boost means you can jump straight into the high level content as soon as you’d like. That boost feature will help add more members to the new Order Halls, where you can plan your fight against the Legion with other members of your class. Your rewards for going into PvP battles include new specific powers and more, unlocked via the new Honor System.
World of Warcraft: Legion is available now on PC and Mac. To learn more about the game, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
