The presenter spent an ample amount of time (at least in comparison to the other titles they presented) on the stage playing a live demo of the game, which showed us an extended version of bits we've already seen as well as some new content never before shown to the public.
Having watched the show closely, here's some of the things we learned about Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
1. One of the new smart rifles in the game allows you to see enemies through walls and take them out—by shooting through the walls. It's not too different from the Auger rifle in Resistance 3, which does the same thing.
2. You can mount some of the vehicles in Black Ops 2 during scripted sequences—one of which takes place aboard an FA-38 jet plane. Only the getting in part is scripted. You actually get to control the vehicle and fly around the city to protect a convoy and take out enemy targets.
3. One of the weapons in your arsenal are quadrotor UAVs that you can issue general move and attack orders by highlighting terrain in the environment. It's not too different from giving move orders in squad-based games like Mass Effect.
4. The US comes under attack by high-tech terrorists during the 2025 G20 summit. Because death to capitalism, or something.
5. Microsoft has announced that players on the Xbox 360 will have a timed exclusive for content and DLC packs for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
