While we already reported the details on Monolith's upcoming Lord of the Rings MOBA game — Guardians of Middle-Earth. It's still a vastly different experience when you get to see the game in action.
Unfortunately, that's not the case here as the trailer is done entirely in CGI. While it is nice to look at, it doesn't show one iota of gameplay so we're back to square one.
CGI or not, give the trailer a watch to see some hot Gimli action!
Obviously, the game will need to take a few creative licenses in order for a couple of things to happen — say, Gollum being able to stand a chance against anything but hobbits? What about Gimli's suddenly-magical hammer that seems to remind me of Dota's Zeus for some reason.
Whatever the case is, let's hope we get some gameplay soon. I'm honestly curious to know how they'll be able to pull a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game using a control pad.
Guardians of Middle-Earth is set to come out this fall exclusively on Xbox LIVE and the PSN.
