You might recall Rime, a PlayStation 4 exclusive title that follows a young boy trapped on an island. The video game looked appealing and left gamers interested in hearing more about the title, but the development team, Tequila Works, has been rather quiet on the project. After rumors began to surface that the video game IP has been cancelled, an email from the development studios PR manager has reached out to Gamespot to confirm the game’s current standings.
Turns out Rime is far from being cancelled. According to the PR manager, Jose Herraez, Rime is very much in development and the project is greatly advancing.
“I can confirm that Rime is still in development, advancing at a great pace. We know it has been a long time with no news, and we are just as eager to communicate about the game as media and fans are to receive news, but we are only a few weeks away of changing that.”
Additionally, the development team has increased in size by about forty percent which indicates that Rime is in a good position right now. As for when we can hear more about the video game, according to Gamespot, the PR manager stated that more details will be coming out around the upcoming Gamescom conference in August.
