Free Spec-Ops DLC to Deploy in Operation Raccoon City

April 9, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

A new mission will be available for free in Operation Raccoon City, kicking off a half-dozen other missions soon to come.

Operation Raccoon City hasn't been well received among either fans or reviewers, but that isn't stopping its publisher Capcom from expanding the game. With the release of a free DLC that adds a Spec-Ops mission, players will be able to delve into the ranks of the Spec-Ops characters in a mission of their very own.

Capcom intends to release the first mission for free as a prelude to more missions told from the perspectives of the Spec-Ops forces. In addition to the free episode, six missions in total will be released as DLC. In addition to the cooperative missions, Slant Six has also created four new multiplayer maps.

Owners will be able to download the Spec-Ops mission on April 10 on both the PS3 and 360. A video of the free mission can be seen above the fold.
