Thanks to a press release that was sent out earlier today we’re learning that the popular video game broadcast software from XSplit is now being offered through Steam. This news also comes with the announcement that XSplit has teamed up with Devolver Digital in order to offer gamers both XSplit Broadcaster and XSplit Gamecaster on the Steam store.
XSplit recently launched their 2.8 update which brought users a whole slew of new features and improvements. Other than the graphical upgrade to the user interface, XSplit 2.8 gives users Unlimited Scenes, YouTube Gaming Chat support, custom URI support, Global Sources, along with a new plugin store that offers a wide range of plugins and extensions.
While the software does offer a free version, gamers can unlock more options and features for XSplit by going with one of the two premium tiers. At most, gamers will be shelling out a little over $4 a month to gain access to the full software package.
Additionally, it was recently revealed that XSplit has brought in over 7,000 sing-ups each day and that number may very well significantly rise due to gamers having access to the software straight from the Steam store.
