In an interview with Famitsu.com (via Siliconera) Tomoya Asano, the producer of Square Enix upcoming 3DS effort, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy has revealed the game will have multiple endings. It's not a first for a Square title (See: Final Fantasy X-2/XIII-2), but it certainly doesn't happen often. The games scenario writer. Naotaka Hayashi, says his personal favorite character is yet to be revealed.
There's more at the source link about characters with silly names and volcanoes being more active than normal or some such, but to be completely honest, it just sounds like more of the same sillyness and incoherence that's made long-time Square fans grow continuosly more disenchanted this generation. I've also never heard of this producer or scenarios writer which inspires very little confidence. Square let Motomu Toriyama was a cinematics director for Final Fantasy VII, VIII and X direct the whole of XIII and well… You know how that went.
If anything, I can say I'm always happy to see the art of Akihiko Yoshida at work. He's one of Yasumi Matsuno's long-time collaborators and possibly the best artist Square has.
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is launching this year in Japan while a western release remains to be announced.
