There’s a game by the name of “Project Space” developed by indie studio Sidhe that was sadly canceled for lack of funding. It was originally intended for release on the Xbox 360 and PC, and the studio went as far as creating a demo for it.
“Project Space” was designed as a modern take on the classic space combat and exploration game Elite, and it had a pretty strong Terminal Velocity vibe, as you can see in the video above. The game took place in the distant future where displaced humans explore a strange new galaxy, placing a heavy emphasis on exploration and discovery.
According to Sidhe, the game also allowed for heavy customization and featured expansive procedural content, like Spore.
Despite being officially cancelled, Sidhe is scoping out tos ee whether there’s enough interest in the title for them to launch a Kickstarter campaign.
You know what, Sidhe? Just shut up and take my money.
