The first World War One first-person shooter is coming to consoles later this year according to the official press release that was sent out earlier today. This will give gamers who have yet to try the game out on PC the ability to enjoy it on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when it launches this August.
World War One has been a hot topic in the video game industry recently after the announcement of Battlefield 1. However, if you can’t wait to enjoy the first-person shooter, you can pick up Verdun a whole two months before Battlefield 1 launches.
Within Verdun, players will go through The Great War by playing out different factions within Europe and America. Go through merciless trench warfare while battling it out on the western front between 1914 and 1918.
Verdun has already been available for purchase through the PC platform, but since its launch last year, 2015, the development teams M2H and Blackmill Games have been actively working on a console version of the game.
You can officially pick up Verdun on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One August 30, 2016. For now, check out the console announcement trailer posted above. Likewise, you can pick up Verdun right now on the PC platform through Steam.
