Hirokazu Yasuhara, who formerly worked at Sega and composed four of the first Sonic games has taken a job at Nintendo of America. They were once rivals, which makes this so very interesting.
Gamasutra reports that Yasuhara is now working at Nintendo NST in Redmond, Washington. This is the first-party Nintendo studio responsible for many different critically-acclaimed titles.
However, Nintendo was not so willing to inform the press as to what his job will entail, when we will be told, or anything of the sort.
Yasuhara's recent resume points to development on the Wii U, as he has done work on the mega-popular Uncharted franchise. This means he has experience working with more up-to-date technology and those skills will more than likely be put to good use working on the aforementioned Wii U.
