In case you didn’t already know, rumors began circulating earlier today that the upcoming bounty hunter game, Prey 2, has been cancelled. As with most rumors, we urge that you take this and all else you read concerning the subject with a grain of salt. We here at Gameranx would actually be pretty downtrodden to some degree if this turned out to be true, as the game is shaping up to be a big contender in the AAA gaming space.
The rumor mill has been hard at work on this one, and most current coming from its depths is a big, fat, “no comment.” GameSpy tried to contact the Bethesda team and came back with nothing; so really, it could go either way at this point. PS Focus, however, reported earlier today that, “an official message regarding the cancellation should be coming from Bethesda next week.”
