Following a cavalcade of leaks, Epic Mickey 2 will be officially revealed by Disney next week, according a tweet from Official PlayStation Magazine France.
The report also reveals a few new details about the project, including an increased emphasis on 2D segments and a 3DS exclusive version of the game, subtitled Power of Illusion.
The purported date of the announcement coincides nicely with an earlier tease from Epic Mickey lead designer Warren Spector, who stated that his next project would be unveiled on March 27.
An earlier batch of rumors, sourced to an online survey, claimed that Epic Mickey 2 would feautre a new co-op mode that allowed a second player to take control of Mickey's predecessor, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, who has the ability to fly and shoot out bursts of electricity. Yeah, we're not sure either.
While the first game was a Wii exclusive, Epic Mickey 2 is also expected to launch on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
