A day after details leaked early on the D23 app, Disney has confirmed the details of the Kingdom Hearts panel.
They said this on Twitter:
Tune-in to a livestream of the DEEP DIVE into KINGDOM HEARTS panel at D23 on Disney YouTube on August 15 at 4:30 PM PT!
Get ready for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the games with special guests Nana Gadd (Disney & Pixar Games), Tai Yasue (Square Enix), Haley Joel Osment (voice of Sora), David Gallagher (voice of Riku), and Renée Johnson (Disney Character Voices)!
But then, Geoff Keighley dropped the surprise announcement; the livestream will be hosted on The Game Awards’ Twitch and YouTube channels! It will of course also be in Disney’s YouTube channel.
It isn’t clear for now if The Game Awards made a one-off deal for this broadcast, or if there’s more to it. If Disney and Square Enix have something big planned to announce at this event, Geoff probably already knows what it is.
We shouldn’t be surprised if Kingdom Hearts 4 makes an appearance at this year’s TGAs too, maybe to close the show?
