We have some exciting news about Kingdom Hearts in the upcoming D23: The Ultimate Fan Event.
Disney announced the event for next week, and revealed there would be an event dedicated to Kingdom Hearts. But we now know that it will be a panel, with some special guests.
The D23 app has listed three key people in the franchise, implying that they will be at the event.
The most important person here will be Tai Yasue, who shares the game director role for Kingdom Hearts 4 alongside Tetsuya Nomura. This would be the prime opportunity to make a big announcement related to the franchise.
Joining Tai is Haley Joel Osment, who voices Kingdom Hearts’ key protagonist, Sora, and David Gallagher, who also voices a major franchise character in Rikku.
Haley’s and David’s star power lends credibility to the rumor that there could be a Kingdom Hearts show or movie, because this would be the perfect opportunity to make that announcement.
