The PC version of Borderlands caught a lot of flak for being a shoddy port, but Gearbox has posted an amusing love letter from the series' robot mascot Claptrap promising a host of improvements PC players can expect to see in Borderlands 2. Some highlights include an FOV slider, mouse-usable menus, and mutliplayer that won't require you to forward a single port on your router.
You can catch the full list of promised upgrades below, but we'd recommend heading over to the official site and getting the news from Claptrap, though. He's much more charming than a bulleted list.
- FOV slider
- 100% mouse usable menus/mouse wheel scrolling
- Remappable keybindings for keyboard/mouse
- PC specific UI
- Native multiplayer matchmaking
- Push to talk
- Logitech keyboard support
- LAN support (including offline mode)
- Control pad support
- Integrated V-Sync option
- Support for higher resolutions
- Mouse smoothing options (can be disabled completely)
- Cloud save support
- Achivement support
- Friends list support
- No port forwarding required.
Borderlands 2 is out on PC, 360, and PS3 on September 18 in North America and September 21 in the rest of the world.
