Travel back in time to E3 2010. THQ is still around, and they’ve just announced a new Saint’s Row game that ties the second and third together. It was called Saint’s Row: Moneyshot, and it was sadly cancelled some point during it’s production.
Builds of the game had surfaced online over the years since then, but this is the first time someone has released anything extensive about it.
The supposed description for the game was as follows:
You are Cypher, a deadly assassin in the world of Saints Row, and you hunt the most elusive targets with the most sophisticated weaponry that Ultor has to offer. How sophisticated? You have the ability to control the of your bullet to such a degree that you can weave through the hallway of an apartment complex, steer through the legs of a hooker, and even snake your way through a moving train! Avoid striking solid objects and unintended bystanders and make sure you hit your mark!
This leaked gameplay comes from the user known only as “Proto Faggot”, who was behind the release of Star Wars Battlefront III‘s cancelled build in January of this year, in addition to showing off a near complete version of Mighty No. 9 earlier this month.
Moneyshot was going to release on PS3, Xbox 360, and surprisingly the Nintendo 3DS as well. There would’ve been 12 achievements to unlock, which was pretty standard for DLC add-ons to have back at that time. Some of the items in this cancelled game survived to be the “Moneyshot Pack” in Saint’s Row: The Third.
