Steins;Gate series fans in North America and Europe can look forward to Steins;Gate 0 sometime in 2016.
Steins;Gate 0 has Okabe and the Future Gadget Lab team involved in a story about the creation of something called the “Armadeus” that allows interaction with a person’s memories. It takes place in the timeline where Kurisu is destined to die, and Okabe fulfills that prophecy in his attempt to stop it from happening.
Just so you know what to expect from this game, it’s more of a visual novel meant to tell a story. The player becomes directly involved in Steins;Gate 0 at certain key points in the plot. The Steins;Gate series uses a phone as the means of doing so. In Steins;Gate 0, the player sends messages via the RINE app in the smartphone, and game characters react accordingly to whatever message is involved.
Steins;Gate 0 will arrive sometime in 2016 for Playstation 4 and Vita. While we don’t have a specific date available yet, the Facebook page and Twitter for the game are the best places to keep an eye on for when that announcement comes.
