Pragmata Gets New Trailer, Demo, and Release Date Announcement

December 11, 2025 by Todd Black

Surprises start The Game Awards strong!

The Game Awards always boasts that it will have big announcements for people to enjoy, and sure enough, during the pre-show, Capcom decided to drop some big news about its upcoming title, Pragmata. For those who don’t remember, this game has been in development for a long time, and many wondered if it would ever be released. Thankfully, we got a release date in the trailer, and it’s for April 23rd, 2026! That’s right, it’s actually not too far away, which we’re sure Capcom is grateful about. However, that wasn’t the only thing that the trailer showed off that gamers will want to take note of.

The trailer itself is short, but focuses on the relationship between the astronaut Hugh and the android he befriends named Diana. They’re marveling at a beach that they “find” on the moon, and Hugh straight-up asks Diana what she wants to do when they get out of the situation they’re in.

That “situation” is that they’re trapped on the lunar station, there are no other humans around other than Hugh, and the robots that once looked over the station are now running amok and trying to take them out. To that end, Hugh and Diana have to work together, using their various skills and abilities, to overcome the robotic threats that are in front of them. In the trailer, we see not only the exploration element of the game, but the hacking gameplay that Diana will have to use to open up weak points on their robot foes so that Hugh can take them out.

At the end of the trailer, not only did we get the release date, but we got the official announcement that Pragmata is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 console. That’s a huge deal, as many have wondered how many big-name titles would be brought to the new system. However, given how popular the Switch 2 is and how record-setting its sales are, Capcom would be rather foolish to leave the game off the platform.

If that’s still not enough for you, then you should know that on Steam, the game has dropped its first demo! Yes, you’re able to get your hands on the title on PC right now, and if you want to get the demo on console, you’re in luck, as Capcom stated that the demo will release on the other platforms, including the Nintendo Switch 2, a little later on.
