Anticipation is a feeling that many gamers know about and have for all sorts of titles that are coming out in the near and distant future. That anticipation can lead to great joy as the games they want get closer to release, and to pain when said title gets delayed, or it doesn’t turn out how they hoped. For GTA 6, anticipation is something gamers have had within them for a while, and to that end, many are simply anticipating the release of the title next year…hopefully. Yet, even with the “threat” of another delay, some are more than happy to talk about what they’re anticipating the most within the title.
On Reddit, a bunch of players shared their personal thoughts on the matter:
“For me it’s the car customization. I imagine there’s gonna be twice or 3 times the amount of options for our vehicles. As well as how big the map is gonna be even though we kind of already know the map size.”
The map size has been one of the key “debate points” for the community, as they wonder how “truly big” it’ll be, and how long it’ll take to “see everything.” That’s a topic for another time, though. As for what others are looking forward to:
“Probably in the minority but the story…”
“For me it’s the melee combat. I want to see how not only Jason and Lucia feel, look, animate while I’m controlling them, but also, I really want to see what I can do in combat, with the environment, what objects I can pick up, use as a weapon, how I can be all the more immersed in this world, these characters, while in combat and just to see how NPC’s interact with me in combat.”
“i’d say customisation as a whole! experiencing the new (and old) systems, etc. there isn’t one specific thing i’m really excited about if im honest, there’s a whole list.”
That’s totally a fair thing to note, as GTA 6 is aiming to be a rather large game with all sorts of things to do between the game’s main story and just exploring Vice City and the state of Leonida. Plus, there’s the inevitable online mode that’ll eventually drop, providing content that’ll last for years to come. Or, you know, a decade, if the original online title is to be used as a measuring stick.
It’s good to see that so many gamers are eagerly awaiting the chance to do these things, and we hope their anticipation doesn’t wane.
