Unreal Tournament players get a new deathmatch map, called Underland. The 6 to 8 player map is located at an outpost that guards the entrance to the vast series of Underland caverns. There’s a trailer out on the Unreal Tournament YouTube channel, showing you around the new battlegrounds.
For people who aren’t aware of how Unreal Tournament‘s development process goes, it’s different than most games. Epic Games decided to open up the code to anyone, putting the game’s source code on GitHub and allowing the community to do what they wanted with it.
If you’re a developer who wanted to contribute to a grand scale project, this is certainly the opportunity to do so. People can play Unreal Tournament against bots or other players online, it’s free to download via the Epic Games Launcher. Right now Pre-Alpha season is underway, and there’s loads more coming to the game later on.
