A Fan Mapped Out Rockstar Games Universe

September 26, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

GTA and RDR locations are highlighted on a map of the USA.

Rockstar Games has one behemoth of a video game title coming our way next year. Fans cannot wait to get their hands on Grand Theft Auto VI. I’m right there with them as I’m excited to see just how far the folks at Rockstar manage to raise the bar for this new installment. Still, while we wait for its upcoming release, one fan decided to take the time to chart out the Rockstar Games universe map.

There are more than a few map projects in the works for Rockstar Games’ beloved titles. In fact, we just wrote a piece up today on the GTA VI Mapping Project. If you haven’t seen that quite yet, fans are looking to gather every tidbit of information about GTA 6 from the marketing materials. With that in hand, they have been slowly piecing together an unofficial map for the game.

As mentioned, one fan has decided to edit together a map of the United States that takes into account the various titles released by Rockstar Games. But more specifically, this is a map universe looking at the various Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption games. You can see how large an area some of these game maps cover in the United States. It’s also not the most accurate map of the United States, but you can see areas like New Austin, New Hanover, Los Santos, North Yankton, Liberty City, and, of course, some of the regions confirmed that will be featured in Grand Theft Auto VI.

While not official and not covering every Rockstar Game game, it’s still a pretty interesting take. This should also give you a better idea of where exactly you are in the country while playing the GTA and RDR games. You can view this map project in the Reddit post we have embedded above.

Meanwhile, the rest of us will continue speculating endlessly about Grand Theft Auto VI. In fact, a recent discovery by one fan suggests a possible connection between Bae-Luxe and Grand Theft Auto V’s Trevor.
