I've put aside my Vita for a couple of minutes in order to take a look at a fantastic new website. Written in Javascript and using the added benefits of HTML5, the JS GameBoy Color Game Centre is a modern online miracle. It combines a Game Boy Color emulator with a set of classic games, and even gives you the ability to drop and drag ROMs from your computer into the emulator online.
I'm not really sure what problem this was designed to fix. It doesn't take a lot to download a Gameboy emulator and, as you have to be online to use it, it's not ideal if you're going to be offline. You could probably fit an emulator and every single Game Boy game ever created onto an SD card, so this wouldn't necessarily be my main way of accessing retro titles, but it's still incredibly cool.
When we heard that HTML5 would allow you to play awesome games on your browser, I never thought for a second it'd end up with things like this. Take a look, you won't be disappointed (and it won't be hard to beat my Tetris DX score).
