Ubisoft might have had a rough go lately, but they did find some success with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The game was one of the big titles that Ubisoft had been banking on to turn things around for the company. It even warranted several delays to ensure the developers had enough time for a successful release. However, it wasn’t long ago that we knew this title would see some special crossover collaboration.
If you recall, we got a breakdown of what to expect late last month for the first year of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The inside roadmap looked at what to prepare for and provided a general timeline of when updates would arrive. In late May, it was confirmed that the first special collaboration would happen for the game. Taking to X today, the official Assassin’s Creed account confirmed that the collaboration would be in partnership with Dead by Daylight.
Unfortunately, while we know what game is in partnership with this first collaboration, we don’t know what exactly it will entail. Right now, all we have is a teaser that essentially confirms the partnership, with a full reveal set to arrive on May 27, 2025. So, we have a little wait on our hands to see what to expect unless new details happen to emerge online before then.
Of course, if you’re familiar with Dead by Daylight, you know what to expect. Dead by Daylight is a popular horror multiplayer game with several crossovers. Players are essentially villains who look to take out the survivors, while others are forced into completing a series of objectives to escape. Normally these crossovers includes characters and even new maps.
In related news to Ubisoft, the studio recently revealed that several of its big IPs were being pushed back. This was in part due to the success of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. So, by providing developers with more time, we should get an overall better product.
