Star Wars fans have a few games in the works. For instance, we know that Respawn Entertainment is hard at work on the next installment of the Star Wars Jedi franchise. However, it was a few years ago at this point that we learned that Quantic Dream has its own unique Star Wars game coming out called Star Wars Eclipse.
Quantic Dream unveiled this project to the world, but it has remained under wraps since then. We haven’t heard much about it since the announcement trailer dropped during The Game Awards 2021. Despite that, it looks like we’re at least getting a new glimpse into the game. This comes courtesy of MP1ST. You can view the leaked images hosted on their website unless they are forced to take them down.
According to the publication, they came across the concept art images from an artist who had briefly worked on the game. So far, the images just showcase a few designs based around three species: the Zenezian, Rodian, and Gungan. Beyond that, the publication found references to two filenames known as Travis and Jotraaaz Kammzzzek. It’s believed that there could be two characters from the concept images that will play a more notable role in the campaign narrative.
Unfortunately, we’re still waiting for more information on the game. In an earlier report, we noted that a reliable industry insider noted that the reason we haven’t seen more marketing materials for the game was that at the time of its announcement, developers didn’t have much more than just a CGI trailer. So, it looks like Quantic Dream was very early in the game development process.
Now that it’s been a few years, perhaps the studio is more keen on revealing what the game will entail for players. This is set to be a more cinematic experience with branching narrative storylines during the High Republic era. If you played any of Quantic Dream’s past games, then you’ll have a good idea of how Star Wars Eclipse will play out.
In other news related to Star Wars Eclipse, we reported last year that one of the key writers had left the studio. You can read more about their decision to leave right here.
