Despite some controversy, Mass Effect 3 is still looking like a massive seller. Complaints about the demo or the day one DLC are usually finished with "I almost wish I didn't have to buy it," and, without a doubt, people are buying it in their thousands. Mass Effect 3 is topping the pre-order chart at Walmart, both on Xbox 360 and PS3.
Occupying both the first and second spaces on the chart, the 360 edition is in the top position followed closely by the PS3 version, although obviously exact numbers are difficult to guess. The Operation Racoon City Special Edition takes third place and fourth place.
With the news that GAME won't be stocking the title here in the UK, it wouldn't surprise me to hear that Walmart subsidiary ASDA was one of the biggest sellers of Mass Effect 3, especially if they manage to knock off the money they have on other recent releases (XIII-2 was only a little over £30 at launch).
