Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition Competition #33

The final round of February Nintendo World Championships challenges are up. This competition will carry us through to March. The Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition receives weekly updates in the form of a new set of challenges. 

As shared over on Nintendo’s news page. Nintendo Switch Online Subscribers who own The Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition can now tackle Competition #33. As with all World Championships competitions, there is a week to complete a mixed set of speed-running challenges. These challenges will be live until the 3rd of March, thereafter the next set of challenges will be shared. 

Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition is a game that offers 150 challenges from 13 classic NES games. All of these challenges are speed-running-based challenges that sets players against competitors from around the world. If you’d prefer to keep things local you can also compete with other players in the comfort of your own home. 

This Week’s Five Challenges:

  • Donkey Kong: Hammer Hustle
  • The Legend of Zelda: Key of the Keese
  • Super Mario Bros. 3: Check 1-2
  • Ice Climber: Arctic Ascent 
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link: Firefight

If you were one of last week’s top contenders in Competition #32, remember to check out the leaderboard. You can see the top runs and maybe shave a few seconds off of your times in this week’s challenges.

  • Metroid: Power Grab
  • Kirby’s Adventure: Quick Copy
  • Super Mario Bros.: Lost Levels: Mushzoom 3
  • Kid Icarus: Specknose Spectacle
  • Super Mario Bros.: Lost Levels: Luigi vs 1-1

The Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition is a pretty great deal because there’s something new to tackle every week. It’ll set you back $30 on the eShop.
