The first round of February Nintendo World Championships challenges are up. As we’ve covered in the past, the Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition gets a weekly update in the form of a new set of challenges. These challenges are available until next week when the new set will be shared.
As shown on Nintendo’s news page, Nintendo Switch Online Subscribers who own The Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition can now participate in Competition #31. As always with the World Championships competitions, Speed runners have a week to complete a mixed set of speed running challenges. They’ll be live until the 17th of February, thereafter the next set of challenges will be shared.
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition is a game that offers 150 challenges from 13 classic NES games. All of these challenges are speed-running-based challenges that sets players against competitors from around the world. If you’d prefer to keep things local you can also compete with other players in the comfort of your own home.

- Super Mario Bros. 3: Super Leaf in the Wind
- Kid Icarus: Seek & Destroy
- The Legend of Zelda: Death Mountain Duel
- Excitebike: Heating Up
- Super Mario Bros.: Lost Levels

The Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition is a pretty great proposition and will set you back $30 on the eShop. It receives weekly updates and so it’s well worth the price.
