To celebrate the long awaited launch of Alan Wake on PC, Remedy Entertainment offered the collector's edition of the game for the same price as the boring ol' regular edition. That offer was set to expire today, but Remedy has announced they'll be extending the offer for another week.
"We’ve received a large number of questions regarding the North American release of our upcoming retail version of Alan Wake,' the developer wrote on their Facebook page. "While Nordic Games is doing an awesome job with the Europe retail versions, releasing on March 2nd, unfortunately we haven't locked down a distributing partner in North America as of yet.
"We're working very hard to resolve this but to make up for the inconvenience we have decided to extend the launch offer to receive the Collectors Edition DLC Free on Steam for one more week."
In addition to the game and its two DLC episodes, the digital collector's edition comes with an issulatrated PDF book, a soundtrack, and an hour of in-game developer commentary. The boxed release, if and when you'll be able to get your hands on it, will come with everything from the digital CE (in physical form, natch) as well as stickers, postcards, and a double-sided poster.
