There’s been a sad announcement regarding Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy. A game that was first released in 1999. It was one of the first games to blend storytelling with environmental issues and adventure. It was very well received and is being remade. Unfortunately, Microids, the team behind this remake, have announced a delay.
Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy is a gripping point-and-click adventure game. It takes players on a mysterious journey through a fictional land. It was created by Benoît Sokal, a Belgian Comic artist and video game designer who was famous for his unique style. He often blended dark themes, satire and humor to help engage his viewers.
The game is being remade and was supposed to be unveiled this month. However, Microids announced today on Twitter that they would not be unveiling the game as planned. The team did not give specific reasons as to what is holding up the development process. Microids did however say that the decision was made to ensure that the game was an optimal experience, with greater immersion. With the hopes of making it an extraordinary adventure.
The game has been delayed to the second quarter of 2025. We live in hope as these things seem to catch and before you know it you’re a Hollow Knight fan waiting for Silksong without a sign of hope. All we can do is hope for the best and try to be patient.
