There is never any shortage of rumors, speculation, and supposed leaks in the gaming industry. We’re always on the hunt for what is new and exciting coming our way. However, we have to be cautious, as you never know what might end up being fake. However, one image directly from PlayStation has some fans wondering if there is something else in the works for the PS VR2. This all stems back to a blog post from the official PlayStation Blog hyping up the new Welcome Hub.
As we reported earlier today, PlayStation 5 is getting an update that adds a Welcome Hub. You can read all about what to expect right here. However, some fans notice a small icon in one of the images. If you look at the image below from the PlayStation Blog, as noted from a post on Reddit, there is a battery icon for the PlayStation VR2. The current PS VR2 is a wired peripheral, and some people are wondering if a wireless headset actually works.
Others have pointed out that this could have just been a simple mistake added to the image. Regardless, some of us are intrigued by what Sony could potentially be working on. We’ll have to wait and see if there is anything else that happens to be unveiled from Sony. After all, they just went through the official PlayStation 5 Pro model earlier this week with no mention of another piece of hardware or software coming our way soon.
That said, there were rumors of a new State of Play event coming out this month. If the rumors prove to be true, then we might see something from Sony before September officially wraps up. But again, nothing official has come out to the public quite yet.
