It seems that as soon as I write one thing about Mass Effect 3, something much more exciting pops up. If you're living in the US or Canada, you'll be able to get a free digital copy of Battlefield 3 – just by pre-ordering Mass Effect 3 on Origin. That's it, no questions asked, nothing else needed.
There are a couple of rules that will probably annoy some people. Firstly, yes, you DO have to be in the US or Canada. It sucks, but we should be used to that sort of rule by now, right? Secondly, this probably won't be a great deal for the majority of Origin users because, if you've already bought a digital copy of Battlefield 3, you won't get anything at all. I'm presuming at this point that the reason most people go for Origin is that it's the main place to get Battlefield 3.
Of course, if you've yet to sign up for the service, getting two major titles for the price of one is a huge temptation, and if you were going to pre-order anyway, why not get it from Origin? This offer expires March 5th.
