If you haven’t already checked out the Kickstarter for Studio Mono’s upcoming release of InSomnia, you still have time. The campaign has been going for close to a week now and already the development team has earned over $17,500, but their still a long ways away from their pledged goal of $79,777. Here’s your chance to help the developers finish the video game and bring it out to the masses.
InSomnia is an upcoming RPG set in the distant future. Players awaken from a cryogenic chamber only to realize that they are on board of a giant galactic space station, shooting through space to its destination point.
Apparently, this space station, which is home to some of the last remaining Nomah people, has been striving to reach the “Evacuation Point” for over four-hundred years. Centuries ago, the planet housing the Nomah civilization was on the brink of destruction where a distant planet could be used for the surviving lineage as a refuge.
It’s up to players in order to learn more about the history and what’s in store at the evacuation point. The development team behind InSomnia, Studio Mono, has made mention within the Kickstarter campaign that the game will be open world, allowing players to freely explore and progress through the non-linear campaign.
The development studio also released a prologue that’s free to download and serves as a means to help players further understand the gameplay mechanics. For those interested in pledging some money into the development of InSomnia, $12 will get you a copy of the video game on Steam. However, the final pledge tier asks for $5,802 which offers a handmade outfit and the ability to work with the development team during a creation of a small location along with a side quest.
