Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Getting New Character Trailer Tomorrow!

April 29, 2024 by Todd Black

Who will be revealed next?

To say that fans are excited about Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is an understatement. This is a title likely many years in the making, as it’s aiming to be a spiritual successor to the “Budokai Tenkaichi” franchise that once dominated the fighting space. The title will be rendered on Unreal Engine, and all indications make it clear that this is a title that gamers will want to pay attention to. As such, Bandai Namco knows that every trailer they drop for the game must be special, and they’re giving fans a heads up on what’s on the docket. For example, we’re getting a new character trailer tomorrow!

This comes via the franchise’s official games handle, which noted that a new trailer will drop tomorrow morning! While they didn’t specifically say how many characters would be in the new trailer, that truly doesn’t matter, as it hypes up the trailer even more and gets fans in a mood to know more!

📣 New DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO trailer drops on April 30 7:00 PDT / 16:00 CEST.

For context, the last trailer for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero focused on not just showing several new characters but also the concept of “Speed vs. Power.” More specifically, the characters within the game would lean toward one special skill or another, and you have to decide which fighting style fits your personal play style.

Examples of this from the last trailer included Super Trunk, the “muscle version” of the fan-favorite character that was born via the Cell Saga. While he was stronger than Cell, his muscles made him too slow to stop the villain. Then, there was Dyspo, who was a Pride Warrior from another universe, whom we met during the Tournament of Power arc. His speed was so incredible that it took both Frieza and Gohan teaming up to take him down, and even then, it wasn’t easy!

Other characters shown off included Master Roshi at max power, Nappa, Burter, Jeice, Toppo, and even the two “berserk Saiyans” in Kale and Broly. Those were all in one trailer, and so it’s fair to expect that this could happen with tomorrow’s trailer! Plus, they could easily tie in the reveals with another revelation about the gameplay or maybe even the game’s story mode. Only time will tell.

What is telling is that we know the title will have a massive roster, and these past reveals showcase that they’re not afraid to go across the timeline and even other universes to get characters to help fill it out.
