Longtime fans of the Uncharted series are patiently awaiting for the release of Uncharted 4, the next and final installment for Nathan Drake. However, as we inch closer to the launch date for the video game, the Naughty Dog development team is warning fans of potential spoilers that may find its way online before the game’s official release.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End doesn’t release into the market until May 10, 2016, for the PlayStation 4. That doesn’t mean information of the game won’t find its way online before fans are able to get the game themselves. Creator-director for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Neil Druckmann, sent out a tweet earlier this morning in hopes to sway from gamers from stumbling onto posts that may have information regarding the video game storyline.
Uncharted 4 is just two weeks away! As we get closer it’ll get harder and harder to control leaks. Stay vigilant. Big surprises in store.
— Neil Druckmann (@Neil_Druckmann) April 26, 2016
Neil Druckmann notes through his tweet that leaks are increasingly harder to control as the game gets closer to its launch date. Already, there have been reports of certain retailers selling the game early, essentially allowing gamers to enjoy the full story campaign before the game becomes available worldwide.
As for the “big surprises,” Neil Druckmann mentions within the tweet, it’s likely related to the campaign storyline as this is the only section available for gamers to enjoy early. For now, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has the multiplayer locked away so if you’re one of the few lucky gamers who managed to get the game before its release then we ask that you’re mindful of the other gamers who are eagerly awaiting to get the game when it launches.
