A new Kickstarter project for a Town of Salem card game!

“This brand new card game is for people who like hanging their friends, werewolves, pilgrims and fancy witch hats.”

Funding starts today (April 26th) and goes until May 26th 2016. At the time of writing, they’re already $5849 in to their $10,000 goal.

Players are assigned a random role and they need to investigate, kill, and protect the other people in game. They accuse shady players in daylight – but when night comes, the different roles unleash their skills. Players get accused and put on trial. If they’re guilty, they go to the noose. Out of a 40 cards, there are 11 unique Town, 5 unique Mafia, and 6 unique Neutral cards.

The reward choices stay in a reasonable price range, considering how far some Kickstarter rewards go. Each of the tiers comes with free bonus digital rewards that don’t add to the physical game cost. These range from town points, in-game icons, forum titles, and exclusive characters and achievements.

Physically, if you pledge $20 at “The Pilgrim” tier, you get one copy of the card game. Pledging at the middle “The Mafia” tier for $65 gets you 2 copies of the game, along with 2 NSFW packs (these cards are only suitable for ages 21 and up). Forking over $500, gets you one copy of the party game, a NSFW pack, an extra copy and pack signed by the creators, and finally the creators will each draw a custom card for you.
