Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII is a video game that is based on a novel of the same name. This is a strategy title that will take players into the second century of China where they will build up a dynasty, create alliances, and prepare for war with their various armies.
Today a new trailer was released for Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII which details the new battle systems. According to the trailer, a number of different armies can be recruited and trained which range from foot soldiers, cavalry, navy, and artillery.
Within a new press release for the video game, five aspects were highlighted on gameplay and the types of combat you may come across. Starting it off we have Debates, which allows conversations with various lords to help come up with a benefit for all players on the field. Duels may also help get players into a better position in a turn-based fashion battle where the winner can gain the upper-hand on an opponent.
Furthermore, Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII will have various battle-types that could range from Naval battles, Narrow Pass, Open Field, and even Siege battles.

- The Battle of Chibi – A scenario that features Cao Cao capturing Jing and begins to prepare an attack on Sun Quan’s Yang Province.
- Thirteen Heroes – A scenario which follows thirteen chosen heroes who will gather together to compete for control of the land.
- The Campaign Against Lu Bu – A scenario, in which Lu Bu has successfully tricked Liu Bei to gain control of the Xu Province, but Liu Bei and Cao Cao have joined forces to reclaim the land.
