Been pouring your blood, sweat, and tears into an amazing game, only to find yourself floundering in obscurity? IndieCade might just be the big break you were looking for, as they've now opened up submissions for their 2012 festival.
Every year, IndieCade gathers some of the most talented independent developers in the world to bring visibility to the latest in innovative game design, complete with a formal awards show that honors achievement in more than a dozen categories. Previous winners include such high profile successes as Fez, Limbo, and VVVVVV.
If you'd like to be considered for inclusion in this year's showcases, all you have to do is submit your game (works in progress encouraged!) via the official website.
Additionally, anyone who submits a game, whether selected as a finalist or not, will be eligible to participate in the IndieXchange, a series of workshops and networking opportunities designed to help budding indies find publishers and funding for their projects. It's provided free of charge, and an excellent opportunity for anyone who's looking to get serious about game development.
This year's festival will be held from October 4 through 7 in Los Angeles. The deadline for all submissions is May 1, so grab a thermos of coffee and get to coding.
