The transformation of Fortnite into what it is now is easily one of the most incredible stories in the history of video games. It was originally supposed to be a game about fighting zombies and making forts so that you could defend yourselves against them. But then, they turned themselves into a battle royale game that took over the world. So much so that every significant update in the game typically features big changes to the game’s island and plenty of skins for people to dress up as. But now, Fortnite OG is bringing back some of the “older stuff” for people to enjoy again.
On the PlayStation Blog, Epic Games revealed all the items that will be available each week while also teasing the fun that players will have:
“We’re going back in time in Fortnite OG! Each major update represents a different phase of Chapter 1 — some of what’s unvaulted in each update will remain for that update, be in more than one update, or stay for the rest of Fortnite OG. Roam the streets of Tilted Towers with Shopping Carts, grapple to Greasy Groves, and pack nostalgia with the original Assault Rifle.”
The first part of the update is out now and will give you the tilted towers and other impressive weapons to use to capture nostalgia while you also screw with your opponents! Then, in the second update on November 9th, the “Darkness Rises Again” from the lake, and you’ll get to use weapons and traps that’ll really set off your foes. After that, on November 16th, they’ll bring back the snow biome and other things from the fun winter season and let you have at it in various ways.
Finally, on November 23rd, they’ll return to Seasons 9 & X to deliver some of the devastating weapons that helped change the island forever!
But wait! There’s more! There’s also going to be a chance to get new items via the OG Pass:
