Starfield Devs Drop An Animated Character Trailer

July 25, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Are you longing for exploration and adventure?

Bethesda is gearing up to launch its latest and greatest RPG into the marketplace this year. Starfield is full steam ahead for marketing materials, and while the developers are at it, they dropped a trailer that doesn’t include gameplay. Instead, this latest trailer offers a look at one character that decided his routine job of clocking in as a courier has run its course. Now a new chapter of his life is about to start, which would get him into a life on the beloved part of the settled systems, the capital of the United Colonies, New Atlantis.

The entire video is rather short, but it certainly would make me sit in on an animated series set within this Starfield universe. This video follows a courier pilot named Kent, who dreams of living within the United Colonies. Finally stumbling upon a poster requesting able bodies to join the UC Vanguard, Kent takes a step towards a new life. Dropping his life of being a courier, Kent began his journey of being within the UC Vanguard, leading him to plenty of action-packed battles, plenty of cash, and the prestige of living within New Atlantis.

However, we learn that Kent’s dream of living in New Atlantis didn’t give him the fulfillment he was after. Instead, what he desired most was the adventure that the UV Vanguard granted him. That sounds quite a bit of what we can expect when we start this game. We know that players are taking the role of a space explorer as you venture into the unknown, land on planets, aid those in need, and fight off whatever enemies that pop up along the way.

Todd Howard has even said in the past that players can take on several quests at once, and that itself could prompt some chaotic and unexpected gameplay moments. Fortunately, we don’t have too much of a wait to endure before we can get our hands on Starfield. Unfortunately, this game won’t be landing on PlayStation 5 as it’s set to be a Microsoft exclusive. That means you’ll have to enjoy this game on PC, Xbox Series X/S, or through the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

For now, you can check out the latest animated trailer that dropped today in the video we have embedded below. Otherwise, you can get a look into the gameplay and everything it has to offer in this video right here, which is the deep dive Bethesda presented last month. In other news, a fan recently detailed the complete skill tree for Starfield after spending hundreds of hours compiling every marketing material from the game.
