THQ announced yesterday its plans to drop its kids division to focus on 'core' franchises like Saints Row, Darksiders, Company of Heroes, and Warhammer 40k.
Today, the publisher followed up on the decision by cutting its now redundant staff. Presumably, those who lost their jobs were related to the company's licensed kids titles, which includes Spongebob Squarepants and uDraw.
"THQ confirms a reduction in force to the company's administration and publishing organization," said THQ in a statement to Game Informer.
"As recently announced, the company is exiting the kids' licensed games category, and is focusing on its core game franchises and developing its digital initiatives."
No surprises there.
