Bloomberg Japan has reported that Nintendo will ship the Wii U during this coming holiday season in North America, Japan, Europe, and Australia, which is weird to say since the last one pretty much just ended. Nintendo’s President, SatoruIwata, will announce a more specific time frame during an earnings conference in Osaka today.
In addition, Iwata spoke about the 3DS, stating that Nintendo plans to continue releasing major titles for the system in hopes to return to profitability this upcoming fiscal term.
Iwata's above statements were made following an earnings report in which Nintendo “slashed sales and earnings forecasts.” They also reduced Wii and 3DS shipment targets.
