Remember the '90s? They were a simpler time, when the Internet was slow, the world was at peace, and Tony Hawk games were actually good.
Well, Activision and Robomodo's upcoming XBLA/PSN title, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD intends to take you back to those glory days, and this latest batch of screens should help bring out the nostalgia in full force. The shots aren't anything too groundbreaking, but they do reveal one new (well, old) level, THPS2's School II.
In addition, CVG's got some fresh details, including the fact that Robomodo built the game on top of Neversoft's original code. Gameplay will apparently follow the same objective-based style of the original, with some modifications. For instance, you'll be able to manual in all levels, not just the THPS2 ones. (There's still no word on reverts, which were introduced in the third game.) The roster will include a mix of returning favorites and newcomers, including Tony Hawk's son Riley.
Other interesting tidbits include the number of levels — 7 fan favorites from the first two games in the series — and price — "about $15."
Activision will announce details on the soundtrack (probably not the original one) and online modes soon.
