March 18, 2016 by Dennis Patrick

LawBreakers may have microtransactions, but they will not affect gameplay.

LawBreakers
is the upcoming PC first-person shooter by development team Boss Key Productions along with the game director Cliff Bleszinski. The game is an exclusive title on Steam for the PC and will be running off of the latest Unreal Engine 4. Today, we’re learning that the game will possibly have microtransactions for gamers to purchase, but it’s important to note that the microtransactions within the game will not affect the gameplay whatsoever.

Our own Ian Cheong recently posted a guideline of everything you could possibly want to know so far about the upcoming video game LawBreakers. Though one of the key points mentioned within the guideline is that LawBreakers will not be a free-to-play video game title. In fact, the developers have decided that going through with the free-to-play business model wasn’t the right fit for what they developed.

Instead, the game will, in fact, cost gamers at launch, however, it’s not stated quite yet just how much the game will run for with potential players. Although, the traditional $60 price tag most games come equipped with, is a price point that Boss Key is not interested in. There will be a compelling price to this high-quality digital title, but that will not be revealed until a later day.

Recently, there has been rumors that LawBreakers will have microtransactions within the game and Gamespot, was able to receive a comment from a Boss Key representative. The representative told Gamespot that the game will likely offer some microtransactions though none of them will affect gameplay. It seems that these microtransactions will purely be for vanity use though we’re not given any details as of yet.

LawBreakers does not have a release date yet though there are specifications announced for what the game will need to run at its finest.
