Trackmania Turbo is set to have an open beta before its launch on March 22. The beta will run for a period of four days, from March 18 through 21, on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. PC gamers won’t have the opportunity to play it early. The beta will start at 6am PST/9am EST.
To sign up for the beta, simply head into the Xbox or PlayStation Store and download the game, which will be available on Friday.
You can watch the trailer below for an idea of what the high-octane racing game is like. Don’t expect real world physics to apply in this one.
Trackmania Turbo was originally set for release in 2015, but was since pushed back to March 2016 after Ubisoft and the game’s developer Nadeo decided to implement changes based on feedback from early testers.
The extra development time was used to improve the game’s single-player campaign and overhaul its interface, which received complaints for being obtuse.
The developer states that it used the extra development hours to improve everything about the game from top to bottom, including its multiplayer mode. It also added new features to the game, including the ability to race against your friends on custom tracks.
